Our Demands

We demand that City Council make drastic changes to LA’s budget, including a new approach to public safety and substantial investments in Black and Brown communities.

Amend the budget to defund the police.
46% of the unrestricted General Fund is currently allocated to LAPD. We demand that City Council amend the budget to defund the police.

Advance the Bonin/Raman #NoNewCops budget amendment.
We want to see City Council pass this motion and make sure #NoNewCops are hired.

Fund Black-led organizations.
City Council should support Black communities by funding Black-led organizations.
